Shelley Johannesen was born in the early 1970s in the United States and developed a lifelong passion for climbing, becoming an experienced alpinist who tackled challenging peaks worldwide. She co‑founded Dash Adventures, a U.S.-based outfitter that supplied gear and organized guided expeditions, and she led numerous high‑altitude trips in the Himalayas, earning respect within the climbing community.
