Luis Garcia Jorge was a sculptor born in Zamora, Spain, who emigrated to Brazil in the 1960s and settled in Santos, on the coast of São Paulo. He trained at the School of Arts of San Ildefonso in Zamora and at the Escola Superior de Belas Artes de San Jorge in Barcelona, developing a career in sculpture and monument restoration.
