Information we handle

You do not need an account. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, messages, precise location, or payment information.

• Service and request data. Our infrastructure may process your IP address, user agent, language, requested pages, and basic security or diagnostic logs to deliver and protect the service.
• Approximate country. Cloudflare may infer a country from network information so the board can offer a local edition. Lamamimet does not request GPS or precise location.
• Usage analytics. Our first-party, self-hosted Umami analytics records page views and limited interactions such as opening a source, sharing an entry, or using notification controls. The analytics proxy does not forward cookies.
• Optional notifications. If you opt in, we store a Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token and the editions and subjects you select so we can send the notifications you requested.

How we use information

We use this information only to operate the board, show the appropriate local shortcut, deliver requested notifications, understand aggregate usage, diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. Lamamimet does not display advertising and does not sell personal information.

Service providers and external links

We use Cloudflare for network delivery and security, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for optional Android notifications, and Sentry for server-side error and performance diagnostics. Umami is operated by us on our own infrastructure. These providers process information on our behalf under their own terms and safeguards.

Entries link to independent news sites and other sources. Those links open outside the Android app, and the destination's privacy policy applies once you leave Lamamimet.

Storage, retention, and your choices

The site remembers a local-edition result on your device for up to 12 hours. The Android app also remembers whether you opted into notifications. You can remove this local data by clearing site or app storage, or by uninstalling the app.

Notification subscriptions remain until you unsubscribe or the token becomes invalid. You can unsubscribe on the notifications page or disable notifications in Android settings. Operational, diagnostic, and analytics records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, then deleted or aggregated.

Children

Lamamimet is a general-audience news service about deaths of public figures and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security and changes

We use HTTPS and access controls designed to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change; the effective date above will show the latest revision.
