Ray MacDonald was a Thai actor, model, and television presenter of Scottish descent who became one of the most recognizable faces of Thai youth culture in the 1990s. He won Best Actor awards at the Thailand National Film Association Awards in 1997 and 1998 for his roles in Fun Bar Karaoke, the debut feature by Pen-Ek Ratanaruang, and O-Negative, which co-starred Tata Young. He also appeared in Fake and the Pang Brothers' The Eye 10, and portrayed Dark Ultraman in the PROJECT ULTRAMAN television series.

In his later career, MacDonald moved away from film and television acting to focus on digital media, opening a YouTube channel called Rayron dedicated to travel and international route content. He had also been a footballer in his youth before entering the entertainment industry.

MacDonald was found dead at his home in Bangkok on 19 August 2026 at the age of 49, with no signs of violence detected. He was discovered by his wife on the morning of his son's first day of school.
