Shimon Chernocha was a professional footballer who played for Beitar Jerusalem during two stints from 1966 to 1969 and again from 1971 to 1973. He holds the distinction of being the first Beitar Jerusalem player to earn a cap for the Israel National Team, marking a significant milestone in the club's history.

Known as an uncompromising fighter and tough defender, Chernocha became one of the pillars of Beitar Jerusalem's defense and a leader on the pitch. His determination and never-give-up attitude made him one of the most beloved and respected players among the Jerusalem crowd.

After retiring from playing, Chernocha continued his association with Beitar Jerusalem by coaching the club's youth team. He remained a symbol for Beitar fans, wearing the club emblem with great pride throughout his life.
