He made his acting debut in 1984 with the film Anand Aur Anand, produced and directed by his father. Over the next two decades he appeared in a handful of Bollywood movies such as Car Thief (1986), Main Tere Liye (1988) and Master (2001), and directed the martial‑arts film Master in 2001. In addition to his on‑screen work, Suneil managed Navketan Films, the production house founded by Dev Anand, and was involved in several development projects, including a planned Hollywood venture titled Vagator Mixer.
Although he never achieved the star status of his father, Suneil remained a recognized figure within the Indian film industry, both for his own modest filmography and for his role in preserving the Anand family’s cinematic legacy. He died in the United Kingdom in 2026 at the age of 70.
