Yolanda Marchite, known online as Yoli, was a Zaragoza‑born activist who became one of the most recognizable voices in the fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in Aragón. After an epidural complication during the birth of her daughter led to her diagnosis, she used TikTok and Instagram to share her daily life, raise awareness, and campaign for better care for people with the disease. Her candid storytelling attracted a large community of followers and earned her recognition from the Asociación Aragonesa de Esclerosis Lateral Amiotrófica.

Through her online presence, Marchite highlighted the challenges faced by ALS patients, promoted the message that a happy life was possible despite the illness, and called for improved nursing and medical support. Her activism resonated beyond her region, with many people across Spain learning about ALS through her videos. She also donated her body and hair to science after her death.

Yolanda Marchite died at the age of 52 in 2026, after a battle with ALS that began following the complications of a childbirth epidural. Her family, friends, and the ALS community mourned her loss, remembering her for the "eternal smile" she shared until the end.
